Improv Festival Ireland

The team has returned triumphant from an amazing weekend at the first ever Irish Improv Festival. Tucked away in the Teacher’s Club in Dublin, we saw show after show of amazing improvisers from all over the world performing and hanging out in the streets, cafés and bars of the city.

We also got a chance to rub shoulders with great improvisers like YarnProv, Ludis Ludius Lancaster’s We Are Improv take on the Famous Five and our London pals Do Not Adjust Your Stage. And obviously the Maydays.

Of course we were also happy to take to the stage with a fun, free flowing Cat’s Cradle and we’re really honoured that Alan Starsinski from the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre. C3467x’s John and Henri even took part in the Ireland vs the World Cage Match.

We also had a chance to sit and learn the thinking behind Improv Boston’s “free form” with the theatre’s former artistic director Will (who trained C3467X’s John) and see their amazing show.

We are genuinely amazed that Neil was able to organise such a huge gathering and not suffocate under a mountain of admin. Great job and can’t wait for 2014.
